User rights to launch queries

Hi all:

Im my organization, we are using a "customized Dashboard" based in excel macros since the HPQC Dashboard tool has some performance problem.
Well, I know that, in order to launch queries against the database, users need to have administration rights but, somebody knows if there is a particular checkbox in the Administration area (view attachment) the checking of wich grants the availability of launching queries ?

How did you create the Excel marcro? Do you access the data by SQL or does your macro use the OTA API?

Errr... I think that we use both. But in any case: How would it condition the answer ?

Nothing in Project group Admin area for OTA access
Some SQL restriction parameters for Site Admin
Group data hiding ect could apply in QC10 - havnt tried

You need to do it in the "Analysis" tab. If you want the user to be able to just execute queries but not create new ones, then just check "Generate excel reports". If you want to allow him/her to write queries, check "Design excel reports" as well.
