cannot print from ALM client 11

using win7 (64 bit), IE9 (32 bit),
VC++2005 ATL x86 (8.0.50727.4053), VC++2008 Resdistributal x64 (9.0.30729.4148), .Net framwork 4, MS Office 2010

OTA Client, UI, WebGate Client, Sprinter:11.0.0.5761

ALM client works well and other features are working very well.

In the Incidents module, within the standard incident report, hitting the print button will show all available printers but once selected to print the following errors appears:

Title:Script Error
An error has occurred in the script on this page
line 2053
char 1
Error Automation server can't create object
code 0
URL res://ieframe.dll/preview.js

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? Yes|No

select yes or no doesn't make the document print.

what has bee tried:
Reset of IE settings
Clearing of IE files
Using another win7
Using another user profile
Reregistering vbscript.dll
Reregistering ole32.dll

All without success.
This said Graph Print Editor works. Only Standard Incident Reports seems to be an issue.

any ideas?
