Identity Server Port Redirection Script

Identity Server Port Redirection Script

As described in TID 7008345 - 300101016 error diplayed at the browser when IDP server accelerated by the Access Manager 3.2 AG appliance, you may require the Identity Server to route requests on port 443 to the listening port of 8443.

The attached script will do this for you.

Firstly, extract the script on the Identity Server in a suitable location (for this example, the location will be /home/scripts/).

cd /home/scripts/
tar -xzf ids_script.tgz

Edit the script and alter the IPT_BIN, INTF, and ADDR variables to suit the server environment.

Link the script to init:

ln -s /home/scripts/novell-ids-redirect.sh /etc/init.d/novell-ids-redirect

Insert the service to start/stop automatically:

insserv novell-ids-redirect

The script can be called with start|stop|restart|status

Now the accelerator can be configured to talk to 443 instead of 8443
