4.4's handling of 403/404

I'm getting this really annoying behaviour where, if the backend web service responds to the MAG with 403 or 404 (and probably one or two others), the user's session is terminated and they're required to log in again.

By some 1970's "cosmic" design, or something else...??

I'm not seeing that here, at least not so far. That probably doesn't help you much though.

I've actually noticed that it's the second attempt where this occurs.... So,

  1. Hit MAG accelerated authenicated resource
  2. Back end Web doesn't respond or responds 404/403
  3. MAG says back end down/etc
  4. F5
  5. MAG says you're not authorised
  6. F5
  7. Have to log in

the behaviour you describe doesn't make sense and I've never seen it before in any version.

I know it doesn't make any sense, but was annoying as all b******. Updated to SP3 and it seems to have subsided, but has caused issues with GW 14....think it might be related to Cookies Created by Access Gateway Do Not Overwrite the Browser Cookies "fix" as I have to clear the -nov-ff-loop-count and SA cookies to get in, otherwise frames just loop forever...and its consistent
