Clicking on NAM protected link in word doc

Hi,
When clicking on a link in a word document to SSPR page protected by NAM
e.g. https://www.company.com/sspr a user will launch two windows instead
of one. Has anybody seen this behaviour before and have a solution?
Thanks
Mark

Is that only with NAM links or with any other link as well?

Edward,
It is with NAM links only, if we change the link to
http://www.google.co.uk etc it will work normally.
I did find this which seemed a similar issue with Excel but may not be
relevant http://tinyurl.com/h3xhfrk
Thanks

I would have no clue why this happens to be honest and I would not have
a clue where to start searching.

What happens when you set the default browser to FF or Chrome?
