Finding the version of OS running on access manager applianc

Hi Guys,

I wanted to find out the OS version on top of which access manager is
running.
Command, cat /etc/SuSE-release gives me just the following details:
Novell Access Manager - Access Gateway Appliance 3.1.2 (i586)
VERSION = 3.1
PATCHLEVEL = 2

Where are the OS version details stored?

Thank you,

In the NAM4 stack that has been fixed to show the full info.
Try some of the following:
cat /etc/issue
rpm -q glibc

You can get the kernel version by using:
uname -r
That should also provide a strong clue.
Based on your NAM patch level you are likely SLES 11 or SLES 11 SP1.

My guess is shellshock questions.
Which is somewhat addressed here:

Unless possibly he's wanting to upgrade the OS if he's applying 3.2.3?
But I believe that section is covered in the docs on determining what OS
version and how to upgrade the MAG Appliance OS. At least I found it
and was able to upgrade.

True, but if he's running the appliance and want to upgrade then I
would suggest to just reinstall it with the new software and same IP
address and it should get the config pushed down by the admin console.
