NAM logout problem

Dear all, i am using Novell Access Manager 3.1 Sp2 and i have a issue
with the log out URL.

When i am trying to log out from a protected resource , the page is
getting landed on logoutsuccess.jsp page but actually the access gateway
session is not getting cleared.
Because when i am trying to access to same protected resource in
different tab after log out, it is taking me directly to the protected
resource page(not giving a login page).

I am using the below logout link :

https://<ESP Domain>/AGLogout

After clicking the logout link, i am landing on below link,

https://<ESP
Domain>/nesp/idff/spslo_return?MajorVersion=1&MinorVersion=2&InResponseTo=iduZ6UxHysEjOzPlWGAScs0yt7qfQ&IssueInstant=2013-02-08T05%3A44%3A36Z&Recipient=https%3A%2F%2Fmuaenduser-tcs.staging.staralliance.com%3A443%2Fnesp%2Fidff%2Fmetadata&ResponseID=id.CuIGche3tJBJGAZmtSEla1ulJc&ProviderID=https%3A%2F%2Flogin.test.staralliance.com%2Fnidp%2Fidff%2Fmetadata&Value=samlp%3ARequester&SigAlg=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2F09%2Fxmldsig%23rsa-sha1&Signature=We1unbQB6P%2BfIsP5EuiNUkdylcgThnhiUeTgEaXMHCdq4FnImp6ti%2BFx9pXSKDObgEkcyMaoaVkP%0AmyfZ8lkTpZLNpkbnDk09YAbQu7hUCe9%2FTG1gmndGYrgzHu2%2Bk3urTIfOg2RwJQXC2ljCq4fcy660%0A8FxQ%2BT9mBEp9i0ISGm6FRFHJ0EHwd7%2B6tSd9uvgwK3v8Ye1W%2FWoH9wt9PjTdZA5ZpKvgg4NovA4W%0AdKkP%2BDjdnUEqNyj8tb%2B84SWNhbKNtqRo77LRkQZGDjD2rLH6Iga7bo5zDpQjbRb4yApelZU3sCPy%0AGS3sU8Xn%2Bp4bA0qP606s%2BRyUIm5betoSmwh6eA%3D%3D

Please help me with this.

Thanks
Susil

Re: NAM logout problem

You might be running into this:
https://www.netiq.com/documentation/netiqaccessmanager32/accessgatewayhelp/data/b6but9k.html#bnz5y2i

After you are logged out, try waiting 1 minute and see if you still are passed through without
having to re-authenticate. Also closing the browser should clear the session as well.

Hi Will

Thanks a lot for the document link. I tried waiting 1 minute even more
than one minute after logging out but still i am getting the application
without having to re-authenticate.
Yes after closing the browser it will clear the session, but that will
not solve my issue , because the user might be using multiple tab for
multiple purpose in a single window and we can not ask user to close all
the tabs.

Thanks
Susil

Re: NAM logout problem

Hi,
I am a bit of a novice, but the app may have stored a cookie on your
desktop and does not therefore need to authenticate. Clear all cookies
and retry the test. I had this problem with Blackboard in the past.

Hi Steve,

I have already tried clearing the browser cache but no luck.
I guess the problem with the ESP which is unable to clear the IDP
session.

Thanks
Susil
