Welcome to the NAM forum. As I am guessing this is your first attempt, is
there a reason you are not using a current version rather than something
really old? NAM 4.5 appears to be the latest:

Yep, got released earlier this week. Main enhancements are around cloud deployments and there seem to be some stuff added in the oauth space. I did
notice however, that in the IDP you can now set custom response headers which kinda cool tho I'm not sure about the use case (yet)

Re: Netiq Access Manager appliance problem after deploy

Hi

thank you for your help , yes there is a reason , i have tried 4.4 too , but stuck already after deploy becouse identity server didn't "link" into cluster , IE : i cannot configure identity server becouse it doesn't exist in management console.
Weird , i know , i must be doing something wrong.

Need to get some more logs out of the appliance.....should be below /var/log/microfocus (well, that's in the recent versions....4.2 could be /var/log/novell or /var/log/netiq ).... I suspect, even though it meets doc specifications, that you might need some more mem behind the VM.

Hard to say, best point of starting to check is the imanager log.
/opt/novell/nam/adminconsole/logs/catalina.out

Any more obvious errors (other than the NPE one) in there?

Also, paste the output of
/opt/novell/devman/share/logs/app_cc.0.log and perhaps /opt/novell/devman/share/logs/app_sc.0.log
