Currently observed a huge rise in hits through browser to External Access Gateway servers i.e through internet. Normally the usage is through intranet rather than internet currently majority is being used through internet affecting the performance of portal accessing through intranet and internet.

During this time the login page to the portal which is authenticated by edirectory seems to slow in loading also the authentication seems to have problems. There seems to an overall decrease in performace at this time.

This normally happens when the connection is peeked during the hours 10:30 AM to 1 PM
