Contacts - Report on Blank Fields

We are currently using RM 8.3.0.9365.  When our records were migrated back in 2012 a lot were and still are missing their Author contact details.   Does anyone know how to run a report to identify which records out of the 310,000 are missing the contact (author) field.  Thank you, Leah
