Customize AAF Layout and Branding

Hi All,

I am having a AM 4.5 as IDP and AAF setup as the MFA provider using OAuth integration. MFA is setup using Dynamic method.

The question is how to change the webpage layout, branding and messages of AAF as now it was in a Docker Image. There is no visibility to the css, images and jsp files.

Documentation said use the Policy-Web Authentication, download Custom Template, but in the jar file only an image and custom message properties file. No css not jsp.

How to change the following layout as attached.

Thanks

Best you're going to get is a combination of Login Background and CSS. I think there was an Idea floating about for more branding options, adding your vote to it would help encourage this feature.

Hi Keng,

We recently improved the related documentation: https://www.netiq.com/documentation/advanced-authentication-62/server-administrator-guide/data/configuring_policy.html#t46bfiujrrif
I think the documented example should help.

Hi George,

I have followed the documentation and tried both the solutions i.e., adding custom a css and/or editing the properities file "OIDPENDUSER.LoginProductImage" options but none of them seems to be working. Could you please let me know if there is any other way to do this ?

Thank you,

Navya

Hello Navya,

I think I had the same issue with web Auth policy.

After you upload the jar file back into AA, just wait a couple of minutes before you restart the AA services.

If you restart the services as soon as you upload the jar file, the modifications are reverted back to default. Just try and let me know.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I tried the workaround but it did not work for me , not sure what and where the issue is. I tried to dig some more into this, but it did not lead me anywhere.

Thanks,

Navya

Hi Ewan,

This issue is now resolved.

The trick was to download the Jar file rename it to add .Zip at the end , open it using a 7 Zip / Winzip or anything that is available to you >> Make the changes to the file you want to and save it >> Once saved , unzip the file and upload the Jar back. After you upload , wait for 2 minutes and restart the server.
Please do try and let me know.

Thanks,
Navya

That is exactly the process I follow. Even if I wait 10min before restart

Hey Ewan ,

This is the process recommended by one of the Engineer from Microfocus and it worked for me. Thanks !

I tried this on a different instance of the server and it is working there.
The process as described here is working. Seems to be an unrelated issue.
