Heartbeat check for Layer 4 Switch

I'm putting an AA cluster behind an f5 BigIP layer 4 switch. I'm wondering if anyone can share how they are handling health check/heartbeat with AA? The docs have one line saying to use the RestAPI. I'm not sure how possible or complex that option is. What have others used besides a simple TCP check? Is there any simply heartbeat URL kinda like NAM has? Thanks.

Greeting Matt,

You can try REST API GET /api/v1/status

https://www.netiq.com/documentation/advanced-authentication-61/apidoc/data/apidoc.html#status-get-server-status-and-version-get

Example:
curl -X GET -k https://10.XX.XX.XX/api/v1/status

Response: {"status": "OK", "multitenancy_mode": false, "version": "6.2.0.0"}

Best Regards,
Rama
