Smartphone Method

Jump to solution

Good afternoon

I'm trying the Smartphone Method of NetIQ Advanced Authentication.
When i scan the QR code with the NetIQ Auth app, it issued a message that "java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException:
Trust anchor for certification path not found".
Then I have tried generate a new certification in my computer and import the new certification in AdminUI, but was rejected because it requires a password.
As there is no way to enter the password,so always can't not solve the problem.
May i know how to import the new certification in AdminUI and how to use the the Smartphone Method correctly.

Thank you

Hi Thomas,

The article https://www.netiq.com/documentation/advanced-authentication-63/smartphone-applications/data/t481aiz1lpqz.html contains the troubleshooting steps for the issue.

Also, the page https://www.netiq.com/documentation/advanced-authentication-63/server-administrator-guide/data/upload_ssl_cert.html contains the note: The certificate must not contain any of the encrypted private keys.
