App Manager-General Ascii log Event

AppManager General AScii log screen.

Can there be a : in Search Patterns?

Does the search patterrns need to be enclosed with "?

I could not attach a screen print. The screen is in NetIQ App Manager
Operator Console and the screen is called Properties for
Genewral_AsciiLog

Thanks
Evans

Yes - you can have a colon in the search pattern, and no you do not need
quotes. Quick example - look for the file test.txt (make sure it
exists), and search for:-

a:b

Then do this:-

echo a: >> test.txt

Result - no match... then...

echo a:b >> test.txt

Result - match and event...
