Search for a srting in a log

Product being used for checking the string is AppManager 7 -
The strings searched are:
"WARNING: request list is over"

"java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space"

Does the : in the string cause only part of the string to be searched.
Is there method for searching strings with ":" in the string. Thanks for
the help

Re: Search for a srting in a log

The effect of including the colon will depend on the Knowledge Script in
question. Assuming you are using General_AsciiLog, a comma is used as
the search string separator so the colon should not negatively affect
the search. What I usually recommend is to experiment with your search
strings until you find a working configuration that meets your needs
without being too verbose. Another option would be to utilize
General_AsciiLogRX which uses Regular Expressions for search patterns.

Thanks,
Kevin
