The Application Performance Management team is proud to announce the release of APM 9.40. This latest product release offers improved user experience, enhanced reports, platform improvements, Docker support and more.

You can find the full list of what’s new here.

Key capabilities and enhancements delivered in this release include:Application Health Overview report.JPG

The APM application health overview report provides you with detailed, historical data on the status of your application which includes: performance, availability, volume, number of failures and quick drill down to problem isolation. The application health overview adds infrastructure health to overall application status.

You can use the overview report to view Business Process Monitoring (BPM) synthetic monitoring or Real User Monitoring (RUM) information for the same application. This report also generates user volume for better visibility of the application's current health status or investigate the historical data using the overtime graphs.

SiteScope monitor, error measurement tool, was added to the Application Overview report. This gives a unified view into the health of business applications correlating end-user experience with the underlying infrastructure.Sitescpe Management.JPG

New SAM Admin is now available. SAM Admin allows SiteScope administrators to view all SiteScope instances integrated to APM, view license consumption, health status, version, deployed monitors for each instance, and launch SiteScope Multiview UI for each SiteScope instance.

Isolate network issues.JPG

A new WebTrace Report is now available. The new WebTrace Report allows you to quickly isolate network performance issues by correlating trace route analysis with transaction performance problems.Enhanced Isolation.JPGThe Layer Isolation Report has added the ability to isolate performance issues down to the line of code by drilling from the Layer Isolation report into Micro Focus Diagnostics.

Isolation flow.JPGDrill down from availability or performance issues highlighted at the application level to the actual page details in order to isolate the cause of the problem.

Application Health RUM reports were enhanced and the powerful end-to-end drill down ability was enabled with new RUM reports, such as Sessions, Session Details, Action Details and drills to Diagnostics.

New Native Mobile Application.JPGUsing the App Health mobile application you will receive the status of your business applications wherever you are, whenever you want. The app retrieves your business applications’ data from Micro Focus Application Performance Management and displays the status of your business applications.

You can further investigate your business application status by viewing the current KPIs statuses for the application under review.

Looks very promising!

Some details I cannot find here:

  1. Does it include the new SisteScope 11.40, too?
  2. And do the web-user-interfaces still need Flash and Java Applets?
  3. Or is it all HTML5, now?

Thanks a lot!
