Performance Center is a distributed application which has different application server components talking with each other through the network.

In order to secure the communication channel between all servers ,the product support configuring all the servers to send information using TLS (version 1.2) which at this time is considered the most secure protocol for network communication.

If you need to secure your Performance Center environment, you can check out our recent series of blog posts that show you how to do it step-by-step:

1. Configure ALM Application Server to support SSL

2. Configure Performance Center Server to support SSL

3. Configure Performance Center Host to support SSL

Note: Theses posts assume that Performance Center was already installed, but not necessarily configured
