APM 9.30 license updating issue (points are added, not replaced)

Jump to solution

Hi experts,

We are facing an issue on out APM installation. Customer has renewed the licenses for BSM, in this case there has been a reduction of SAM (1000 to 270) points and for Transaction points (870 to 750). I have uploaded the new licenses, but instead of replacing the old ones, the points have been added (1270 points instead of 270 for SAM and 1620 instad of 750).

Is that normal? If not, how can I delete the old ones?

Thanks in advance,

Ángel

Hi Angel,

as long as the original set of licenses is not expired, similar licenses add up, this is expected.

You can delete all (old and new!) licenses the following way:
go to your GW, open a browser, access
  http://localhost:29000
 go to
  BSM-Platform:service=LicenseManager
    then
      java.lang.String removeAllLicense
        for customerId enter 1
      click Invoke

    invoke
      java.lang.String displayAllLicenseInformation
        for customerId enter 1
      click Invoke

Now all licenses should have been removed

Then go to the APM License Gui and add your license via the license file, this should do the trick.
