Re: BSM Node not up to date

Hello,

If you mean that the newly discovered NNMi CIs KPIs are not up to date (blue) until an event from NNMi come for the first time, this is the default behavior. In event-based environments (for example when using OMi or SiteScope in event mode), if a CI is discovered but it does not yet have any events attached, the CI is displayed in BSM with No Data status. This can cause a situation where there are many CIs with No Data status in the NOC, which may confuse operators.

But you can change that if you want and your CIs will be normal (green) even if no events ever came (by default green).

How to do it please read:

A new infrastructure setting enables users to define that a CI’s initial status will be OK and not No data, until the first event arrives related to the CI. (The first event creates HIs and KPIs, and sets KPI status for the CI.) Note that if you activate this setting, CIs that are discovered but not monitored will be in OK status (and not in No Data status).

To set initial CI status as OK, access Admin > Platform > Setup and Maintenance > Infrastructure Settings > Applications > Service Health Application - Service Health Layout Properties. Locate the parameter Set CIs with no KPIs to OK status (instead of “No Data”); apply only on event-based systems. Set the parameter’s value to True. The change takes effect after the next UI refresh.

Note: Reports will only show KPI data for the CI after the first event, and not from CI discovery.

Best Regards,

Rosen
