(SiS 11.5x) Support Tip: Issues with failover configuraton

If after upgrade your configuration on Primary and secondary SiS to 11.5x you are not able to make the failover config to work and you are receiving this error message on logs:

Error: [SiteScope Main Thread] (AESEncryptionHandler.java:205) ERROR - Error occurred during decryption:  javax.crypto.BadPaddingException: Given final block not properly padded. Such issues can arise if a bad key is used during decryption.

It is needed to follow these steps to make it work:

1] Install primary SiS and have it up and running

2] install secondary SiS (setup site scope as failover option)

3] Import Licenses in both primary and failover SiS

4] copy primary LWSSO from General preferences to Failover machine

5] go to failover machine preferences -> high availability

6] give primary machine details and create the profile

7]  Stop the failover SiS service

8] Copy the following files from primary machine to failover machine

                                location C:\SiteScope\tools\panel

                                files : toolbar.e1 and toolbar.e2

10] Start the failover SiS service

Some cases were reported with that issue and workaround worked on all of them.

We had this exact scenario with SiteScope 11.50.  This did resolve the issue.  Thanks!
