Unable to create New Session Property for RUM with regular expression

Jump to solution

I tried to create a new RUM session property by going to EUM Admin -> Select Application ->Select Real User Monitor -> Select Session Tab -> Create new session property.

My new property is used to look for users' operating system in the user-agent HTTP header. I put in a sample header in the "Test data" field and verified my regular expression against it. This regular expression also work outside of RUM.

When I tried to save this property by pressing OK, an error message came up prompting "Invalid number of groups in expression. Please adjust".

Scan for (Regular Expression): Mozilla/[0-9].[0-9]\s\((.*?)\)

Any ideas,

Recommend to use the pattern match “Mozilla/[0-9].[0-9]\s[()](.*?)[()]” as a workaround.
