Unresolved Events / Unassigned Events KPI not created

HI All,

 

In BSM 9.01 we have several CIs that don't get the Unresolved Events / Unassigned Events KPIs,

even though there is an open event in OMI with the Related CI.

 

Is there a way to manually assign these special KPIs ?

There is an JMX interface to recalculate all Event KPIs it also creates the KPI if not yet there.

Just follow these steps:

  1. open InternetExplorer and go to following URL: http:<yourServerDNS>:29922/

  2. use administrative BSM credentials

  3. search and click following link:

          opr.backend:name=EventKPICalculatorMBean

  4.  Press 'Invoke' button for reinit function.

By the way if you restart DPS on BSM 9.01 it will also recalculate the KPIs and also create missing KPIs.

Hi,

 

Please check if the corresponding HIs exist.

(You can use CI Indications under Service Health Admin)

 

If HIs don’t exist then please use the JMX that was suggested above.

 

If HIs exist then you can perform SYNC in KES:

Administration > Service Health > Assignments > KPI Assignments

Choose the CI Type

Click on the “Synchronize” button.
