Arcsight Express Appliance B7500 Upgrade to 6.9

Hi Every one.

We have appliance B7500 and planning to upgrade this to latest ESM that is 6.9.

Current details as follows:

ArcSight Express 4.0

Build Series B7500

ESM version 6.1.0.1389.0(BE1389) (This is not 4.0 p1)

Operating System Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.2

Is it possible to upgrade from Express 4.0 B7500 to 6.9. Please advise.

It is possible. You can find detailed instructions int the ESM 6.9.1c upgrade guide (which refers also to ESM Express). I believe you will have to upgrade to P1 first, though in any case I strongly recommend following the instructions in the manual.

Sandeep we have the same environment but you need to upgrade your operating system first before you can upgrade to 6.9.1c.  I already upgrade our RHEL from 6.2 to 6.5 and this coming weekend I will upgrade to RHEL 6.7 and then to 6.91c.  Wish me luck!

Best of luck. I will contact you, once we are ready to upgrade.

I believe, first we need to go with 4.0 P1 then we can go ahead with the OS and ESM up gradation.
