Differences between Framework and Parser

Hi All,

I am attempting to upgrade ArcMC and it's connectors.

There are downloads available for Connectors Framework and Connectors Parser, what is the difference between this two?

Hello,

 1) SmartConnector framework is completely new built of SmartConnector installer that contains parser updates and codes update.

2) SmartConnector Monthly Parser Release is just a parser upgrade for specific SamrtConnector framework. So it does not fix issues with code but only parsing issues.

3) Example:

a) SmartConnector framework 7.8.0.8070.0:

b) SmartConnector Monthly Parser Release 7.8.1.8077.0:

4) So as a general rule (always read Release Notes):

a) If SmartConnector framework is 7.8.0 then Monthly Parser Releases will be 7.8.1, 7.8.2....

b) Monthly Parser Releases are designed for specific SamrtConnector framework

c) If for example there are 4 Monthly Parser Releases for some SmartConnector framework you can immediately go to latest Monthly Parser as it will contain all the parser updates from before and the new ones

d) When new SmartConnector framework is released it contains all the previous version Monthly Parser Releases
