Exporting Packages from Express

Jump to solution

We try to export packages from ESM, but we take an error like this "Export Failed:Could not retrive entries for cache: Unable to execute query: Temporary sort space limit exceeded" Is ther any way to improve any size for this? We took this error even if selecting only session list.

Hi,

Please look at the following thread for increasing the sort space limit:

/opt/arcsight/logger/data/mysql/my.cnf is the file you need to edit.

The parameter to change is:

sort_temp_limit = 10G (or 100G/Whatever you want).

Kind regards,

Jurgen Visser

Thanks Jurgen Visser,

Also we find that need to add these two aditional parameters to your server.properties (/opt/arcsight/manager/config/server.properties) file in order to be able to export packages if there is a problem with size.

  persist.file.size.max=90

  archive.export.max.size=90000

This will allow to create packages of maximum 90 MB so in case you need a bigger number in the future then you can increase this value.
