Filter for SmartConnector

Jump to solution

Hello everyone,

I have a question. When we apply filter on SmartConnector, How it works?

I am getting confused because ESM 101 6.8c provides it in two ways as attached. Which one is correct?

Thanks.

Hi Dipak,

Events which satisfy filter condition applied on connector will not be forwarded to manager.

I hope this clarifies your concern.

Hi Jayant,

You can apply filters running the runagentsetup of the specific SmartConnector and modify advanced parameters.

Hey Jayant,

You can do it via xml edit or console access or running connector setup and modify there for the existing destination.

Hi Jayant,

Open command promt, go to bin directory of smartconnector and run arcsight agentsetup then the wizard would give you option to apply filters at connector level.
