How can we troubleshoot issues at connector end installed on a linux environment. Can we set connector in debug mode and can we see logs which connector reads from the device? Is there any doc which refers to logs/files to refer while troubleshooting issu

Hi,

We have Fortigate based syslog connectors installed in a linux VM. We lack a bit of knowledge while troubleshooting issues at connector end.

1> Is there any way we can set the logging mode as "DEBUG" for connector and see detailed logging?

2> Is there any doc for reference while troubleshooting issues at connector level? Check log files, destination properties, map properties etc?

Thanks,

Vishesh

Hi Vishesh,

U can use the enclosed log ArcSight smartconnector log analysis tool to identify the issues. You need to pool the logs files from the connector installation directory.

Log Path:- '\Arcsight_home\Current\logs\agent.log'

& '\Arcsight_home\Current\logs\agent.wrapper.log'
