How do you change the "systemuser" password

Jump to solution

No one knows the systemuser password and it was used by an individual to lock connectors. We can't do anything without that password. Anyone know how to fix this?

Hello Brett,

which user do you mean, the one you need to register connectors, the one you log in into an connector or the admin that you configure during ESM installation?

Hi Brett...

you can reset the password of the systemuser.

Go to your <ARCSIGHT_HOME>/bin directory on the manager and use the follwoing ArcSight script to change the systemuser password:

arcsight configsystemuser

Please also see KB entry 1325.

The user you setup during DB/ESM installation. The super user.

That worked. Also, I had to be logged on as the arcsight user to do it. I was logged on as root.
