Login to SSH

To stop:

/etc/init.d/services_arcsight manager stop all

To start

/etc/init.d/services_arcsight manager start all

To restart:

/etc/init.d/services_arcsight manager restart all

or  you can go indudivally service stop and start

syntax:

/etc/init.d/services_arcsight manager status all

which shows all the process that are running. you can start and stop individually.

To start the Manager from the command line, if it’s not configured to run either as a daemon or a service: Start the Manager by running the following command as user arcsight:
/sbin/service arcsight_services start manager   -- To start the manager

/sbin/service arcsight_services stop manager    -- To stop the manager

/sbin/service arcsight_services restart manager  -- To restart the manager

/sbin/service arcsight_services status manager  -- TO check the current status of manager

/sbin/service arcsight_services status all      --- which shows all the services status

Just as an aside to this - feedback from support and the field is that you should never kill any of the ArcSight processes, you really must use the startup and shutdown scripts. Its good practice to do that anyway, but failure to do it correctly means it can risk all sorts of issues. Just a recommendation!

Hi Manohara,

One more way of restarting the manager which my Colleague uses is doing it on Web.
