Hi everyone,
we are looking for a way to test Partition Archiver, specially the "reactivate partition" function, but we would like not to wait until our partitions are archived. Is there anyway to do this? Will it work taking an archived partition from another system and reactivating it?
Regards,
Gabriel

Partitions are archived on a daily basis. So not much waiting involved.

ArcSight keeps track of archived partitions in DB. This is the reason why there is no easy way (if not none) to do that.

On the db-host you'll find em under <ARCSIGHT_DB_INSTALLATION_FOLDER>/logs/ . On the manager-host you'll find em under <ARCSIGHT_MANAGER_INSTALLATION_FOLDER>/logs/default/ .

Hi Neil,
Thanks for your reply, 🙂
But in the location manager\logs\default, the size of partitionarchiver file as 0 kb, this is expected or it has to be retrieved from DB.

This means that after rotating the log file nothing has been written to it yet. Look for filenames ending with numbers, e.g. partitionarchiver.log.1
