I am receiving messages stating "Cleartext Protocol Crossing A Perimeter" from a remote router?

I am not managing the remote router, only providing connectivity to it.

I don't know what the "Cleartext Protocol Crossing A Perimeter" message is telling me.

Likely that someone is managing the router using Telnet (TCP Port 23) or HTTP (TCP port 80) and therefore the username / password and commands are all capable of interception by someone with access to the network (i.e. Sniffing).

Look at the details of the event under this alert and ideally you should get it blocked / stopped

Turned out the DE had bypassed the FW for troubleshooting.
