ORA-00942: and sys.aud$

ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

Working with a client and are unable to connect (with the error message above).

Client researched the db query and had this to say:

Based on the provided log he was able to find out, that ArcSight is trying to access the object sys.aud$, which isn’t included in the two views.

Sys.aud$ was part of the previous auditing/release, but not in use in the current release (and unified auditing feature).

Any idea why ArcSight still needs that (even not in use anymore)?

This is for AS version 7.6.0 and Oracle 12 (trying to verify the exact version).

Is there any way around this?

Thanks.

Hello,

1) ArcSight Connectors Documentation:
https://community.softwaregrp.com/t5/ArcSight-Connectors/tkb-p/connector-documentation

2) Please go to above noted link and let me know which SmartConnector you used ?

3) Are you using proper SmartConnector for your use case as there are few Oracle SmartConnectors ?

Regards,

Marijo
