Hi Team,

Is it possbile to replace certain character in a field using map files?

For Example: I have a mac Address F0-24-75-BD-17-E9 I want to conver it to this F0:24:75:BD:17:E9. Replacing (- )with (:).

Hi,

try use Parser-Like Expressions. Page 167 and next in FlexConnector Developer's Guide.

The specific action you want, which the pagenumber above is __replaceAll, it can be found together with the rest of the ArcSight operations around page 184. It takes a starting string, a regular expression and the replacement string. It can be placed in a regular .map file.

Just wanted to add that ArcSight supports both : and - separated mac addresses, so there is no reason to change it unless you want to utilize it outside of ArcSight as well.
