Skip DB version check

Jump to solution

Good morning,

I'm trying to set up a lab with ESM 5.0SP2 and Oracle 11.2.0.3 (which is the oracle db version provided by HP ArcSight). Everytime I try to start ESM i get this error:

"The current db version 'Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 ' is not a supported database version. Please upgrade to one of the supported versions [10.2.0.4, 11.2.0.2, 11.2.0.1]"

Does anyone know how to skip db version check or where to get ArcSight packages for Oracle 11.2.0.2?

Regards,

Gabriel

There should be an entry in server.properties that you can try to modify. Something like:

db.allowed.versions=9.2.0.6, 9.2.0.8, 10.2.0.2, 10.2.0.4, 10.2.0.4.0, 11.2.0.2.0, 11.2.0.2

Gabriel,

just so you know, 5.0sp2 is not supported using 11.2.0.3, I'd recommend if you want to use that DB version that you start with the ESM 5.5 software, in case you come to support, we won't have to tell you that you are on the wrong versions. Or open a support ticket to get 11.2.0.2 software, it should still be on SSO (http://support.openview.hp.com/)
