What is the EOS and EOL dates for ArcSight Express 4.0?
What is the end of support and end of life date on ArcSight Express 4.0? Client has a AE7551 hardware box.
The ESM support matrix shows AE4.0, EOSL (end-of-support and life), past on 12/31/2016 but I'm hearing from others that this was only the End of Sale not end of Support. Can anyone clarify?

I think that the following document will clarify your questions related on Gen7 of the servers:
So to conclude the support has been extending, at least up to this time July 2017, to the 31 Dec 2017. The customer is advised to “migrate” to the G9 to the new appliances.

Related to the AE 4.0 (software part) which it is also installed to G8 (7500) appliances the customer it is advice to “upgrade” to ESM 6.9.1. The G8 it is eligible to be upgraded to ESM 6.9.1.
The upgrade procedure it is covered in the following document:
AE 4.0 it is supported until 31 Dec 2017 but in the support will cover general issues like performance wrong configuration. If the customer it is facing any bugs then he will be advised to upgrade to newer version of ESM, for example, ESM 6.9.1.
