./arcsight resetpwd

Hi All,

Just want to know how to use this command : './arcsight resetpwd'?

is this from the users accessing via arcsight console?

what if i have many users? which user does this command pertains to?

do i need to add  <user> parameter on the command?

Nathan,

It should pertain to any ESM user however I've only ever used it to reset the "admin" password.  In cases where admin might be your only elevated privileged account and you have forgotten the password, you can reset it and manipulate the rest of your accounts from console or ACC.

From Linux terminal , navigate to opt/arcsight/manager/bin and run the command ./arcsight resetpwd , you will get a password reset wizard. Follow the wizard, and enter the username which you need to reset. You can then change it to new password.
