how to count total count of sources integrated with SIEM.

I need to know the number of sources integrated against each connector. I have around 40 connectors installed on our SIEM deployment. However since I was not completely involved for end to end deployment so I have zero visibility on sources integrated to few connectors.

How can I get a number out that how many Switches, Firewalls, Routers, Active Directory Windows Servers, Linux Server are integrated with 40 connector?

Re: how to count total count of sources integrated with SIEM.

Hello Ahmad,

create a query that either fills a report or trend on events "Type != Correlation and Device Vendor != Arcsight and with the following fields:

Agent Name

Device Vendor

Device Product

Device Adress

Device Host Name

Device External ID

grouped and sorted by what you want.

I believe this will show you what you want to see.

Does your connector send logs to logger?  If yes just filter event from specific connector and then you can see how many devices send logs to your logger.

In the ESM create a rule for events "Type != Correlation and Device Vendor != Arcsight --> aggregate device product and host

Then put them to list.

Make a query from list to find out how many devices integrate with connectors.

You can get a result what you want

Enable "Device Status Monitoring" at the connector level, this will produce Agent:050 events which contains stats about all the sources and EPS levels.

We extensively use this to monitor all our important and critical sources.
