Chaining Queries

Hi There,

I have a query that generates a top 10 list of categories from my proxy data. From this I would like to take the top entry and then run queries per region (a more detailed query). Anyone know what the best way to do this would be?

example flow: query 1 = top 10 categories globally THEN query 2 = top category (from query1) and break it down per region (with more detail) i.e. size, top source ip, etc.

Not sure if my logic/approach is right and or possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jason

Re: Chaining Queries

Hi Jason,

I think you can use QueryViewers with drilldown capabilities to achieve this.  The first query which returns the Top 10 will be used as the base for the overview QueryViewer. Then, you can build another query to retrive details for one of the Top10 items and link it to the main QueryViewer as drilldown query.

I hope it helps,

Dragos.
