Datamonitors lose all data upon a restart

Hello,

When I restart the manager, all the data of the datamonitors (Moving Average - weeks of data) is cleared.

Is there anyway to keep the data so it can be displayed after the restart?

Regards,

Pedro Chaves

Re: Datamonitors lose all data upon a restart

Dear Pedro,

I know it is possible but we had made this change two years ago, I do not remember the setting.

Could you please check what is the status of this setting in your ESM (where it is not working to compare with me)

datamonitor.recovery.enabled=true

In your server.default.properties file.

It is enabled or in comment.

I am not completely sure it is the right setting.

Never edit server.default.properties, you copy the line you want to server.properties

Thanks

Kind Regards

Michael

Re: Datamonitors lose all data upon a restart

Hi Pedro,

Please keep in mind. This settings are Global and Data monitors are resource Intensive. So try not to change or keep the smaller buffers

Re: Datamonitors lose all data upon a restart

Is any difference if you restart only Manager service and restarting all services?

It can happen sometimes when restarting all services or rebooting server datamonitors become empty. Check also time issues on the server, this can also cause clear datamonitors.

Re: Datamonitors lose all data upon a restart

Hi Pedro,

I have finally found the right property.

If you find this setting not commented in your server.default.properties

datamonitor.checkpoint.enabled=true

It means that DataMonitors should not be cleared/empty after ESM Restart.

If you have still the issue then I am agree with Vladimir answer.

Thanks

Kind Regards
