Diagnostics Tool

Hello,

If found out the diagnostics tool command on a document called CORRe Internals.PDF.

Besides the information on how to run the command:

ArcSight Diagnostics tool –arcdt-runs sql commands

/opt/arcsight/manager/bin/arcsightarcdt.

Example: ./arcsighta rcdt run sql–f /tmp/test.sql

Output will come to the screen,

there is no more information.

Can anyone tell me what is the expected output of the Arcsight Diagnostics tool?

To run this command, is it necessary to stop the manager?

How much time does it take to run, on average?

Regards,

Pedro Chaves

Re: Diagnostics Tool

According to the Admin Guide under the ArcSight Command Index (Appendix A):

arcdt:

A utility that enables you run diagnostic utilities such as session wait times, and thread dumps about your system, which helps Customer Support analyze performance issues on your components

Lots more info in the screenshot below:

Hello,

Thank you.

Do you know if it's necessary to stop the service before executing the command?
