ESM 6.5c and storage volume

Hi,

I’ve installed ESM 6.5c on a RHEL server with the following setup:

/ - 300 GB disk RAID-1

/data - 5 TB RAID-10

Our best practice is to separate OS/applications and data in two different partitions, hence the “/” and “/data”. The original plan was to have all storage groups and archives under “/data”. However, I’m not able to configure storage groups to use “/data”. Am I missing something elementary here? Are storage groups restricted to the partition which ESM is installed on?

Using “/data” for archiving is easy to configure using the “Command Center”.

All input is appreciated.

Thanks,

Trond
