Installing connector on solaris fails java

Hi,

I am trying to install SmartConnector on Solaris 10 and when i execute: ./ArcSight-5.1.2.5823.0-Connector-Solaris.bin -i console

I shows the following error.

./ArcSight-5.1.2.5823.0-Connector-Solaris.bin: /tmp/install.dir.737/Solaris/resource/jre/bin/java: cannot execute

Does anybody have any idea?

Regards

Re: Installing connector on solaris fails java

Hi Jose,

Couple of questions:

1. Have to ask - are there sufficient permissions for installation - event on the /tmp dir?

2. Is this the very first installation attempt or was there a previous attempt

If there was a previous attempt, try cleaning up the /tmp directory then installing again.

HTH,

Re: Installing connector on solaris fails java

Hi,

Yes i have enough permisions and space.

When i try to install again, before doing it i delete all the temporary files and directories.

The installarion works with an older version of the connector but i need to change the SmartConnector jre directory with the jre directory that alredy is the Solaris system.
