Logger's Disk Format of virtual hard disk

Hi,

In Logger_QuickStart_VM_5.3SP1.pdf,  it suggests to  select "Thick Provision Lazy Zeroed" for  Disk Format of  virtual hard disk that used to store Logger data.

Now we want to install ArcSight Logger 5.3 SP1 (Downloadable Version) on a ESX server.  Should we also select "Thick Provision Lazy Zeroed" for  Disk Format of  virtual hard disk ? Though by my own opnion, "Thick Provision eager Zeroed" is a little better choice.

Every advice will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: Logger's Disk Format of virtual hard disk

There is a new format for the downloadable Logger. Now there are 3

- Software Logger

- Software Logger in HyperV

- Software Logger in ESX

The Logger_QuickStart_VM_5.3SP1.pdf suggests

On the Disk Format panel select

Thick Provision Lazy Zeroed and click Next
