Time based filters for Active channels


As we investigate the events in our main active channel we are searching for a way to remove from sight (temporarily) those that we are either not able to get to immediately or those we are waiting to implement solution for, etc.

I would like to create a 12 hour, 2 day and 2 week event suppression filter of some type to remove these from the channel as they are being investigated or until we can get approval for tuning, etc. Can this be done using filters? Or, Is there a way to filter events to another channel for specific time ranges?
