I am having trouble with authentication while configuring AM webtier and webservice through IIS. Anyone with inputs/suggestions is welcome.
I am following up this forum, I was wondering if you still have some concerns or if it is ok for you.

What exactly are you using IIS for? AM Web requires a web app server such a Tomcat or WebSphere. IIS is only used if you're doing Single Sign-On.

as mentioned before you don't need IIS unless you need to configure SSO.
Here you will find some documentation how to do so:
However I've heard that single sign on using Apache as web server is much easier to configure. There is no AM specific documentation but if you search Google for Apache/Tomcat single sign on and you may find some good hints
