IMAC related query

Hi 

 please tell me few things in hpam why in imac form whenever any new imac is generted there is a gap of 2 digits

for eg one imac is genearted is imac74 then next wuld be imac76.How this counter is working?
 
 
Why always there is a gap of two numbers.
 
 
SCript is retval = "IMAC" + AMCOUNTER("amimac", 😎

There are a couple of possibilities. Do you know if you are using the amCounter table, or if you have moved counters into a sequence (Oracle) or identity field (SQL Server)?

Hi 

 

Yes we are using amcounter table....but pls tell me why alwys there is a gap of 2 always betweeen IMACS genrated automaticallly.

Are you using that same counter in a different field's default value on the same table? That would cause it to increment twice each time it's executed.
