please help us with small information only i.e. tracking of mouse,keyboards, pend drive, data card with out serial numbers on location basis. I have read the consumables chapter in portfolio doc but cannot find any suitable answers.

Our requirement is suppose Kolkatta location is there. They order 1000 Adapters in bulk and they allocate it with laptops. Sometimes Adapter is replaced with new Adapter when old one gets faulty in such suitation how we can do the transctions and track them.

i assume the question is in relation to automatically tracking consumables like mouse and keyboard under the "components" tab. Can this be done by Universal Discovery, perhaps using a WMI query and push the data to AM? I have a similar requirement and was not able to get much information.

Hi,

if you check out the CP26.zip file for uCMDB (Content Packs), you'll see a document:

DataCollectedByTheScanners.html

That will help you determine what's collected by the scanners. (mouse, keyboard, and other hardware)
