Software Counter for MS SQL

Can Software counter calculate SQL Server CAL License and how , for user CAL and device CAL? , or it is just for the server itself

Hi,

have you checked the SLO package docs? There's a section in the SLO_Technical_Guide.pdf doc that references counters for the various vendors. .

There are a few counters for SQL Server CAL in the SLO. But counters can't calculate anythings by itself, you have to collect row data. I haven't experiance to collect data for SQL CALs calculation, can assume it may be collected by MAP toolKit (there are connector for it in SLO, too).
