Web console

I just installed ZAM 7.5 on a W2k3 server. Whenever I try to login, I get prompted back to the login screen. If I put in a wrong ID or PW, it tells me so.

Using the correct ID / PW gets me nowhere.

Can anyone help?

Re: Web console

One more thing I forgot - I have applied upd750 and it still does it. I found a TID (3774086) that gives this same errors, but is written for ZAM 7.0 and the TID says it was "Fixed in ZAM 7 IR12.".

Well, I'm running ZAM 7.5 IR15.

Thank you again for any help you can give me. Like most projects, this has been thrust upon me with a tight deadline, so I would appreciate anything you can do.

Re: Web console

TID 10099777 fixed it. Nevermind.

Re: Web console

I have a follow-up question -

This issue was resolved (initially) by following the TID above. Isn't the .war file a database file? I ask because this issue has come up again after I've been able to import workstations and collect information.

What happens if I have to follow that TID again? Will I lose everything and have to start all over?

Re: Web console

Ok - another question.

When the webconsole doesn't come up from within the application, I also notice that the Task Server is "unavailable" and that the file ColSvrCore.exe has been unloaded / stopped. What would cause this? Will it affect Webconsole? I re-run the app, but webconsole doesn't come back.

Thanks again.

Re: Web console

Fixed it by replacing the .war file again.

Does anyone monitor these forums? I feel alone in here.

Re: Web console

Antonioandolini,

to be honest few people use full Asset Management, compared to those
who use Asset Inventory - if your question's not Asset Management
specific, you're better off posting in the Asset Inventory forum...

Re: Web console

Thanks. I just posted there. I figured that since I was using Zenworks Asset Management, I'd post in the Asset Management forum under ZENworks.

It seemed like the logical place to post.

Re: Web console

Antonioandolini,

but you're using the Asset Inventory components 🙂 Asset Management
only covers the extra features...

Re: Web console

Shaun,

I can see what you're saying, but by that logic, is the Novell Client section (for example) broken down to the various components? One for SLP, one for LDAP, one for Contextless Logins, one for Default Capture, etc?

See what I mean? Or maybe I tend to over-simplify things too much.

Either way, thanks for your help.

Re: Web console

Antonioandolini,

I don't see it as the same thing, Asset Inventory and Asset Management
aren't two separate entities. You install Asset Inventory, then use the
Asset Management pieces on top of that 🙂

What database? Stand alone or enterprise install?
