Support Tip: AM Push Adapter reports “This modification alters the behavior of an overflow link”

Update of a computer record by Asset Manager Push Adapter fails with error:

com.hp.ucmdb.adapters.ampush.exception.AMPushDataException: Failed executing AQL: UPDATE amComputer SET AssetTag = . . .

Caused by: Error (12,001): This modification alters the behavior of an overflow link. Certain records in the table 'IT equipment' (overflow table of the table 'Portfolio items') will not be coherent with the new structure.

Agent 'COverflowChangeAgent' returned error : '-54'

An integrity was not correctly applied (no additional information available).

Workaround: Bad data in Asset Manager database caused this error. Deleting the records reported by in the error message of the push job resolved the issue.

Re: Support Tip: AM Push Adapter reports “This modification alters the behavior of an overflow link”

Hi Ranjan,

We found that workaround provided is not the unique one.

Customer don't allow to delete the problematic Assets from Asset Manager every time.

So we updated the lModelId of Assets (directly on Database using Update SQL query) with lModelId used in the TQL query on uCMDB. Refer attached screenshot for lModelId updated on Portfolio record.

This modification alters the behavior of an overflow link.png

Thanks & Regards,
